Principal Highway Development Management Officer

We seek an enthusiastic and skilled individual to join the council’s busy Planning Service working within the Highway Development Management Team.

You will primarily deal with highway aspects of major planning applications assessing agreements, transport assessments and statements and highway design submissions and carry out site visits.  Additional responsibilities include delivering professional technical advice in relation to all aspects of Highway Development Management through the planning process from construction to the completion of the adoption process.  You will also deputise for the Team Leader when required.  
This is a key role and you will hold appropriate qualifications and have experience of highway engineering or related areas.  In return we can offer a supportive environment and a forward-looking team, always looking for new ways to improve our service.
