We require a qualified Principal Social Worker for the Family and Assessment Team, St Austell.

Experienced Social Worker with proven experience of working within a frontline statutory children and family team undertaking:
- Ability to undertaken Child In Need/child protection and child in Care visits to children, assessing the capacity of parents to meet the needs of their children and to keep them safe.
- Chair meetings (CIN/Core groups/ Placement planning and if a PSW s.47 strategy discussions in support of the management team across the Mid)
- Undertake s.47 enquiries and complete child protection investigations and reports.
- Undertake home visits
- Engage in direct work with children O 18
- Cover duty calls or PSW s provide high quality reflective supervision.
Must hold a recognised social work qualification. A successful candidate will be one whose commitment and value base drives practice and good outcomes for our children and young people. Worker will be required to have own transport and travel across Cornwall. This role is initially for 12 weeks with the possibility of being reviewed for an extension.
