Role Summary:
To support and deputise for the Systems Engineering Manager with the engineering delivery of the Maritime Electronic Warfare System Integration Capability (MEWSIC) programme. This shall cover the provision of technical leadership, Systems Engineering (SE) management and domain knowledge consultancy.
Main Responsibilities:
- Engineering/technical management, preferably in a position responsible for the delivery of equipment/system programmes for a MoD customer.
- Working knowledge of MoD procurement processes, project delivery practices and technical standards compliance.
- Delivery of C5ISR systems across the SE life cycle, including an understanding of the CADMID life cycle and its alignment with systems/product life cycles.
- Domain expertise in one of the following:
- Electronic Warfare systems.
- Combat Management Systems/Shared Infrastructure
- Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance.
- Military RADAR systems.
- Military communications networks (WAN and LAN).
- SOSA.
- Conversant with the MoD Knowledge in Defence (KiD) framework and associated design, build, test and acceptance processes.
- Demonstrate a drive to deliver results on time, meeting cost and quality targets, taking ownership of problems / issues whilst working diligently towards a resolution.
- Be proactive and capable of operating with minimal supervision.
- Be a good communicator, both written and oral, and able to liaise at all levels with customers/stakeholders.
- Computer literate with MS Office skills.
- The use of commercial SE and modelling tools is desirable, e.g., Rhapsody, DOORS, UML.
- Capable of obtaining security clearance of SC as a minimum. There may be a requirement to undertake Develop Vetting (DV) and be read on at STRAP.
