Principal Teacher - EAL - Fixed Term until December 24
Citywide

Salary: £61,686 (pro rata for part time)
Hours: Various as below:

We have 2 positions available:
Hours: 35 per week x 1
Hours: 12 per week x 1

Part time hours will be considered for the full time post

Applications are invited from Primary or Secondary registered teachers with appropriate specialist knowledge and experience of working to develop, implement and evaluate a capacity-building model for EAL provision. Successful experience of using a coaching approach to lead learning and teaching is required. Experience of developing and leading training and/or joint planning for learners with support needs in addition to emerging bilingualism is essential.

Candidates wishing to apply on a secondment basis must seek the permission of their current Line Manager before applying.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
