MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting a Process Technician to join an Energy from Waste power station in Maidstone, Kent. As the Process Technician you will be responsible for carrying out plant operational activities safely, efficiently an in line with the sites environmental permit.

Roles and Responsibilities

As the Process Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Performing plant walk-arounds and inspections, ensuring optimum performance of plant machinery.
• Carrying out first line maintenance activities to ensure minimal plant breakdowns.
• Operating a range of mobile plant including FLTs, excavators and overhead cranes.
• Undertaking relevant training to eventually operate the plant via the Distributed control system (DCS).
• Assisting with plant shutdowns.

This is a role that will involve working a 12-hour shifts covering days, nights as well as some weekends

To be considered for this role you should have:

• Production/operations or maintenance experience in a heavy Industrial environment, preferably within the power gen or EFW sector or similar e.g., anaerobic digestion, waste, Cement, Distillery. Marine Engineers at ET level would also suit.
• Ideally a relevant engineering qualification BTEC, NVQ, ONC etc
• Mobile plant tickets/ experience desirable but not essential
• Some basic mechanical or electrical maintenance skills would be Advantageous.
• A good understanding and awareness of H&S.
• Willingness to work on a 12-hour shift pattern that includes both days and nights.
