Job Title: Procurement Administrator
Location: Lisburn
Duration: Approx. 4-6 months with possibility toextend.
Hours: Full Time, 36.25 hours per week.
Salary: £13.20 per hour.
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a ProcurementAdministrator to provide an efficient and effective procurement and contractmanagement service, contributing as an integral member of the Finance team inproviding a modern, professional and responsive financial service.
CoreResponsibilities include:
- ·Responsiblefor the effective day to day procurement systems management including:
-Processing requisitionsinto purchase orders following completion of accuracy and validity checks;
-Creating newcontracts following receipt of handover documentation;
-Adhering totimescales for all cyclical and routine processes within the e-procurementsystem.
- ·Responsiblefor testing changes and upgrades to the e-procurement system.
- ·Assisting theContracts and Procurement Advisor to develop, implement and maintain therolling 3-year procurement plan and associated annual procurement action plan.
- ·To producemonthly contract monitoring reports including checking of all ‘amber’ and ‘red’status contracts and advising the Contracts and Procurement Advisor of thesame.
- ·Responsiblefor the set-up and maintenance of appropriate filing and archiving systems forprocurement and contract management information including the retention anddisposal of records.
Experience& Skills required:
- ·5 GCSEs GradeC or above, or equivalent, to include English and Maths.
- ·An awarenessof current good practice for procurement and associated technology includingcompetitive tendering techniques.
- ·Have at least1 years’ experience of:
-Delivering an operational procurement service;
-Effectively using available ICT systems and softwarepackages in the provision of a procurement or contract management service;
-Providing financial information for corporatedecision making.
- ·Effectiveplanning and organisational skills with the ability to pay attention to detail.
- ·Effectivecommunication skills, both oral and written and the ability to workindividually or as part of a team.
Desirable requirements:
- ·Experience gainedworking within a large complex organisation of contracts management oroperational procurement.
- ·Have currentmembership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS) orworking towards membership.
