My client a large housing association has an excellent opportunity for a permanent Procurement Business partner – IT and Technology– looking to pay £62463 -plus excellent benefits. This role is hybrid with 2 days a week working in London office ideally. This role is focusing on IT and Technology category – i.e. software.
The Group Procurement and Commercial Management Team supports the Group in delivering its commercial activities. It is a centre of excellence, which provides guidance and operational support on programmes and major projects, policy and procedure, commercial management to drive performance, innovation, and strategic savings delivery as well as assurance and performance monitoring.
You’ll be expected to be proactive in identifying and developing further ways in which the team can deliver further commercial value to the group.

Engaging with the business and based at their modern officers you’ll support their customers in demonstrating the best value for money and excellent customer service, through compliance with category priorities and contracts, and by actively managing the marketplace through development of key strategies for supplier and contract management for specified categories of expenditure.
Key Accountabilities
• Supporting the Head of Category Management and Director of Procurement to create organisational excellence in procurement and purchasing.
• Developing and leading specific strategic sourcing programmes for a defined category- IT and Technology
• Implementing innovative tools for the procurement tool kit such as whole life costing, evaluation templates, standard criteria, commercial management value assessments, assurance assessments and major projects project management.
• Ensuring the team is seen as a centre of excellence for all procurement legislation, commercial activity, and contract management
• Ensuring contract compliance, pursuing procurement excellence through the implementation of efficient and effective procurement projects within key markets for specified categories
• Developing, motivating, and managing the Category Managers across a diverse spend portfolio, in accordance with agreed strategies and processes to optimise Clarion’s procurement spend. Identifying and delivering a significant improvement in value for money and customer satisfaction through a category management approach to managing expenditure.
• Managing markets through in depth understanding, influence and development of purchasing strategies
Experience required
• CIPS qualification/membership and/or demonstrable professional procurement experience
• Procurement/Commercial/Project Management degree or technical background complimented by suitable commercial acumen.
• Demonstrable experience of developing and leading specific strategic sourcing programmes for the IT and Technology category
• Significant experience in the identification of value engineering opportunities and the preparation and application of accurate and robust procurement documentation inclusive of whole Life Cost analysis
• Demonstrable experience or knowledge of managing multiple stakeholders and line managing employees.
• Significant experience in the implementation of efficient and effective procurement projects within key markets for specified categories of expenditure
