A great opportunity to join our client in the West Midlands as an IT Category Manager. Reporting into the Senior Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing predominantly software spend with an annual spend of circa £10m. For this role you will need previous IT category Management experience, preferably within software.
Role Responsibilities:
* Responsible for all RFx activities, managing the sourcing process, negotiation and contracting activities
* Supplier on-boarding process and implementation of Procurement strategy in line with Category strategy
* Responsible for negotiation of terms for complex agreements
* Continuous supplier performance and SRM throughout the contract, including risk mitigation strategies
* Responsible for management of internal and external stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
* A track record in driving cost out and driving value up within a Procurement organisation
* A successful track record of following a strategic sourcing / category management methodology
* Demonstrable experience in category management with Software Experience
* Experience in developing category plans and strategy.
* Excellent negotiation skills and techniques
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management approach and skills
