The role
As a Procurement Coordinator, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will work within a team to support the process for purchasing goods and services within the Procurement team.
Day to day, you'll review and process all requisitions and purchase orders for compliance at Group-wide level and prior to release check in accordance with divisional policies and inter-company SLA's
- Proactive management of the open commitments. Maintain and manage the open order books for multiple Babcock entities.
- Procurement of IT hardware, software, services and peripherals for Babcock Group for UK and International sites
- Manage the Remedy sourcing activity queue and manage multiple departmental Procurement mailboxes.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with all suppliers on SAP.
This is a full-time role with 37.5 hours per week, a 12-month fixed term contract with the strong possibility of turning permanent. You can work remotely with the requirement to travel to Portsmouth once a month.
Essential experience of the Procurement Coordinator:
- Proven strong administration experience.
- Comfortable with Excel,
- Good customer service
- Good attention to detail
- Experience working with invoices or procurement is an advantage but not essential.
- Experience with data bases such as COUPA and Sap are desirable but not essential.
- Experience of working with high volumes and responding to multiple priorities effectively in parallel
Qualifications for the Procurement Coordinator:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
