Butler Rose are delighted to be exclusively partnered with a Cornwall based Hotel and Hospitality group who, as part of their growth strategy, are seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Manager to join the team in a newly created position, to play a key role in developing the procurement function for the business to maximise efficiencies and deliver value.
The business have big expansion plans in the coming years and feel that now is the right time to recruit a forward thinking and innovative procurement professional to assist in the delivery of their ambitious growth plans.
Role overview
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for developing and overseeing the procurement activities across the group, ensuring the efficient sourcing, negotiation, and management of vendors and suppliers. This role requires a strategic thinker with the confidence to work autonomously, who possesses excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record of optimising procurement processes.
Key responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing: Carrying out full supplier audits (to include supplier code of conduct compliance) and develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
Cost Management: Negotiate favourable terms and conditions to optimise costs while maintaining quality standards.
Supplier Relationship Management: Set up supplier on-boarding process. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely and reliable delivery of goods and services.
Quality Assurance: Work closely with relevant departments to establish and maintain quality standards for all procured goods and services. Conduct regular quality audits to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.
To be chosen for the role you must possess the following skills/experience:
- Ability to lead cross-functional process improvement teams
- Procurement management experience within indirect spend (including Food and Beverage, Facilities management and Capital expenditure)
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
- Minimum 5 years buying experience
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to lead teams
- Solid negotiation skills
- Demonstrated project leadership success
- Results and detailed oriented
