Butler Rose is currently seeking a dedicated Procurement Manager to join our client, a public sector organisation in the East Cornwall area. As a Procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing procurement processes, leading projects, and ensuring compliance with procurement legislation. Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement of required services, negotiating supplier agreements, preparation of contracts and tender management.
- Develop, evaluate, and award contracts using the procurement processes
- Develop strong relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners determining product and service needs to improve business.
- Manage and monitor supply chain risk when planning procurements
- Ensure the business remains compliant with the Public Procurement Regulations and risk is identified where appropriate.
- To actively seek out, consider and promote new and innovative procurement solutions that will provide greater value for money
- To actively engage with other potential partners and stakeholders to create arrangements for bringing added value
- To consistently push for smarter procurement and purchasing processes through digitisation.
- Liaise with suppliers during the tendering process to ensure the required information is made available at all times.
- Manage the contract initiation process to ensure a smooth transfer between procurement and operations.
- Manage key supplier contracts including supplier relationship management. To obtain value for money and where feasible, just in time deliveries.
- Monitor the Contracts register, ensuring budget holders are aware of contractual periods.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Understanding of EU public procurement rules and procurement legislation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex procurement.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in preparing evaluation and recommendation reports for various procurement scenarios.
- Proficiency in delivering training and promoting good practices.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic sourcing plans and interpret market intelligence.
- Familiarity with procurement systems and policy development.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in contract management.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Package
- Salary up to GBP46,200 + benefits including enhanced pension and leave entitlement
- Primarily remote with requirement to be on site in Cornwall for meetings
