Role:Procurement Manager / Purchasing Manager
Salary: £52,000 to £60,000 per annum, plus Bonus, Life Assurance, 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays), Pension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week
Location: Commutable of Farnborough, Aldershot, Guildford, Alton, Camberley, Wokingham, Bracknell and surrounding areas

Responsibilities
The role covers the whole spectrum of procurement and supplier management, including responsibility for developing and managing the purchase process, management of supplier agreements, tracking metrics to reduce expenses, negotiating deals, managing suppliers, and team. Ensure clear requirements, mitigate risks, and collaborate with relevant departments and directors.
To ensure the production, engineering, stores and logistic departments comply with Group and plant Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Responsible for demand and shortfall planning, and communications.
Establish procurement processes.
Responsible for systems maintenance and reporting.
Delivery of procurement risk mitigation plans and opportunity management.
Provide support when the company moves from an MRP to an ERP system.
Review and process purchase orders for suppliers in relation to Works Orders (WO) (suppliers & sub-contractors).
Builds and maintains relationships with suppliers. Securing good procurement deals.
Negotiate pricing agreements with suppliers.
Responsible for supply chain management. Creation and negotiation of supplier contracts.
Evaluates (and regularly appraise) suppliers based on quality, timeliness, and price.
Schedules deliveries and ensures OTDIF (on time delivery in full).
Coordinates with fellow managers to monitor inventory and determine supply needs.
Ensuring stock accuracy on ERP, involvement in stock cycle counts.
Decrease "stock on shelf" using JIT tools.
Provide weekly / monthly statistics and reporting with team, directors.
Work in accordance with the quality system and processes of the company.
Coordinates with fellow team members, managers, and directors.
Knowledge of Health & Safety Management Systems (ideally IOSH).
Reviews, creates and or adjust section process and or procedures.
Requirements
Experience of similar level role; Procurement Manager, in a relevant industry - must be machining or production or manufacturing environments
Experience of overseeing and setting up all negotiations and contractual arrangements with suppliers
CIPS would be desirable but by no means essential
ERP and Microsoft experience.
Ability to develop and evaluate procurement and supply chain reports from IFS / SAP and Microsoft applications.
Be organised and able to gather information from key sources to assist with problem solving.
