Acorn by Synergie have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a global market leading Aerospace and defense manufacturer in the heart of North Devon.
General scope of the role:
As the site Procurement Manager, you will manage the supplier demand planning and delivery of all direct materials and services. You will be responsible for overall supplier on time delivery, parts quality and cost requirements. This role will also work with commodity management to develop, deploy and execute the commodity/supply strategies.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for supplier delivery on time, inventory levels through the supply chain while supporting quality and costEstablish Supplier capacity planning model including constraint management in collaboration with the SIOP teamResponsible for cost out and delivery project initiation and timelinesResponsible for the Management of ECN and MPS changes which affect the direct material in the supply chain, while working closely with Commodity Managers, Engineering, Operations, Supplier Quality and Supplier Development teamsImplement and execute projects related to the commodity strategy to support divisional cost, quality, delivery, supplier reduction, and sourcing goalsWork closely with Supplier Quality and Supplier Delivery teamManage supplier compliance and communications associated with Eaton Corporate initiatives (Ethics compliance, EHS requirements, etc.)Ensures appropriate performance measure (Quality, Cost and Delivery) of supply base and feedback of resultsEnsure that all Health & Safety standards and requirements are met, and a safe working environment is promoted within the site
Experience and Skills:
Previous experience in a procurement role ideally in a manufacturing environmentFull knowledge and understanding of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic (for example MFGPro)Thorough understanding of SCM operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, and inventory controlSolid negotiation skillsDemonstrated project leadership successResults and detailed oriented
