A global engineering business requires a Procurement Manager. Applicants need experience in a Procurement Managerial role, ideally within manufacturing and have a strong end-to-end supply chain appreciation.
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for leading a team and activities across operational procurement (supplier OTD), inventory management and contributing to strategic tasks around commodity management.
Specific duties of the Procurement Manager:
- Responsible for supplier OTD and driving efficient inventory management
- Establish supplier capacity planning model and support SIOP activities for site
- Responsible for cost-out and contributing towards savings targets
- Run procurement projects related to commodity management
- Work with Quality in regards to supplier quality and NCR issues
- Drive, mentor and manage procurement team
Procurement Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Experience in a managerial or supervisory procurement or supply chain role
- Comfortable working within a manufacturing or engineering business
- Procurement (operational and strategic) and inventory management expertise
- Deep knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
- Capable of driving change
