What will the role involve?

• Assuming full commercial ownership of Capital Works expenditure
• Developing and implementing appropriate procurement strategy
• Tendering and negotiating high value contracts including NEC3 and JCT
• Leading strategic supplier relationship management and undertaking performance & contract management with key suppliers
• Building and maintaining robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Managing a small Procurement team, including developing, coaching and conducting one-to-one appraisals

Ideal Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Proven procurement experience within capital works / construction / property
• Knowledge of JCT and NEC3 contract forms
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong commercial acumen
• Honed stakeholder management skills
• Experience in managing or coaching others

MCIPS or part CIPS qualification would be preferred
