Key Responsibilities
- Assume ownership of category strategy and planning for high value and critical category spend area
- Build / lead a high performing category team
- Lead on strategic supplier relationship management to ensure optimal value and service
- Manage and maximise financial performance of category including forecasting, budgeting and achieving targets
- Collaborate with other business functions to position the business as thought leaders in the market
- Contribute to wider business ESG & sustainability goals
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven Procurement and Category Management experience
- Excellent commercial accumen
- Proven leadership and mangement skills
- Strong analytical skills with ability to make strategic, data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Honed stakeholder engagement skills
- Ideally an exposure to construction / buildling materials sector and understanding of contract forms such as JCT / NEC
