Salary: £39,186 to £42,403 per year (Grade 10)

Contract: Fixed-term (12 months), full-time, Monday to Friday

Hours: 37 hours per week, hybrid and flexible working

Location: YPO Headquarters, 41 Industrial Park, Wakefield WF2 0XE

Are you an experienced procurement specialist, capable of developing and implementing strategic procurement plans within a public sector procurement environment?

YPO is looking to welcome an organised individual with a strong focus on people for the role of Education Procurement Projects Delivery Lead on a fixed-term basis.

Building on your expertise in public sector procurement, you will employ a strategic mindset to oversee procurement pipelines and projects for our multi-academy trust clients. This involves various categories such as facilities management, catering, maintenance, and ICT, requiring both independent initiative and seamless collaboration within the team.

With a keen eye for detail, you will be confident in taking a methodical approach to your work. You'll demonstrate excellent organisational and leadership abilities, confidently handling various projects and pipelines, all the while effectively assisting and guiding customers throughout their procurement needs.

You will be analytical and detailed in your approach, with the ability to use initiative to manage your own projects, delegate and motivate, while making informed decisions about what is best for our customers, and in line with organisational objectives.

Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, are essential. You should be confident interacting with customers, possess strong interpersonal skills, and have the ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

It is essential that the successful candidate have:

· An excellent understanding of UK Public Sector Purchasing

· IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and CRM

· Ability to work from the office two days per week

· Experience working in a large, multifaceted organisation

The Education Procurement Team is a central hub for actively supporting schools and multi-academy trusts with their Procurement Projects. From ascertaining the customers’ needs to post contract review, this team are pivotal in supporting our customers, so we need the best team in place.
