We are seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist/ Supplier Management Lead for our Finance Team. This role can be based from our London, Birmingham Amersham or Guildford office (hybrid working 1-2 days in the office).
As the Procurement Officer / Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining effective relationships with our suppliers, ensuring timely and quality delivery of goods or services. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end supplier lifecycle, from selection to performance evaluation, to meet our strategic goals.
Responsibilities
1. Supplier selection and evaluation: Identifying potential suppliers, evaluating their capabilities, and selecting the most suitable ones based on factors such as quality, price, delivery time, and reliability.
2. Contract negotiation and management: Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers, including terms and conditions, pricing, and service level agreements. Managing and monitoring the performance of suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
3. Supplier relationship management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers through regular communication, meetings, and site visits. Addressing any issues or concerns raised by suppliers and working collaboratively to find solutions.
4. Supplier performance evaluation: Monitoring and evaluating the performance of suppliers based on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as quality, delivery time, responsiveness, and customer satisfaction. Taking appropriate actions to address any performance issues and drive continuous improvement.
5. Supplier development: Collaborating with suppliers to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation. Working together to develop and implement strategies to enhance supplier capabilities and competitiveness.
6. Risk management: Identifying and mitigating risks associated with suppliers, such as supply chain disruptions, quality issues, or non-compliance with regulations. Developing contingency plans to minimize the impact of potential risks.
7. Supplier diversity and sustainability: Promoting supplier diversity by actively seeking and engaging with diverse suppliers. Encouraging suppliers to adopt sustainable practices and ensuring compliance with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards.
8. Cost management: Working with suppliers to identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favourable pricing. Monitoring and analysing supplier costs to ensure competitiveness and value for money.
9. Collaboration with internal stakeholders: Collaborating with internal departments, to ensure alignment and coordination in Supplier Management activities.
10. Continuous improvement: Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in Supplier Management. Continuously seeking opportunities to improve processes, streamline operations, and enhance the overall Supplier Management function.

Experience/Qualifications
  • Proven experience in Supplier Management, procurement or a related position
  • Ideally a Degree or qualification in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Oracle fusion Procurement desirable but not essential.
  • Finance or professional services an advantage.
