About the Role

As a Procurement Specialist at Whistl, you will be developing comprehensive sourcing strategies for relevant spend categories in close collaboration with stakeholders to identify sustainable savings opportunities and create compelling business cases approved by our senior management team. You will also create RFPs and manage projects from creation to completion.

You'll deliver benefits through effective execution and stakeholder engagement, manage supplier relationships to minimise risks and negotiate contracts to maximise opportunities.

Additional Information

This Procurement Specialist role will involve travel to our other sites and off-site meetings. Therefore, your own car and driving licence will be required.

Essential Skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficient negotiation abilities with suppliers, employing analytical approaches.
  • Excellent organisational skills for prioritising tasks and managing deadlines.
  • Consistent production of accurate work with attention to detail.
  • An understanding of project governance and financial planning and proficiency in interpreting financial and performance data.
  • Self-motivated with a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
  • Up-to-date understanding of best practices and demonstrable experience in best practice sourcing.
  • IT literacy, including MS Office proficiency.
  • A good technical appreciation of the range of procurement categories and familiarity with procurement tools such as eRFx, eAuctions & Spend Analytics.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
Desirable Skills

CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) qualification or equivalent is preferred but not essential.
