We are currently seeking a driven and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our client's team and play a pivotal role in optimizing their procurement strategies. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience, preferably in large corporations, with a strong background in category management.
This role is based in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute global category strategies to optimize costs, rationalize supply chains, and mitigate risks.
- Lead supplier performance management and negotiations to achieve optimal total cost of ownership (TCO).
- Drive high levels of customer satisfaction by providing purchasing guidance and leadership.
- Participate in financial planning and forecasting processes, providing relevant market insights.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of markets, supply chains, and suppliers to inform make-buy decisions.
What you'll bring
- Category management experience is highly desirable, with global experience being a bonus.
- Procurement experience with a track record of managing significant budgets and delivering substantial savings projects.
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in large corporations.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage complex projects and prioritize competing priorities effectively.
