Form of workAt STEM Recruitment Solutions we are working with our client who have an exciting role available for a Procurement Specialist based in Cumbernauld.
Duties:
- Supporting the implementation of global procurement and category management plans locally.
- Planning and placing orders for raw materials and indirect purchases.
- Leading and evaluating competitive tenders for goods and services, negotiating price and commercial conditions.
- Working with all departments to ensure purchase orders placed are done so in an accurate and timely manner.
Experience:
- End to end procurement experience.
- Leading on supplier engagement for goods and services.
- Direct and indirect procurement including supplier negotiation.
- Comfortable working to tight and competing deadlines and demonstrate confidence in dealing with all internal and external suppliers.
The ideal candidate will have a CIPS qualification or currently be working towards this professional qualification. The successful person will have experience within a buyer role supporting engineering and facilites management. This individual should have strong communication skills, strong negotiation skills and have ERP skills.
