The role
As a Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This role is supporting procurement and Supply Chain activities primarily across our Clean Energy operations at Hinkley Point C.
Day to day, you will be working with various key stakeholder such as Accounts Team and Suppliers in order to drive operational execution of critical business activities relating to Goods and Services.
- Managing sourcing and tendering processes in accordance with agreed project and/or programme deliverables
- Early engagement with stakeholders to review and challenge specifications and develop robust/innovative procurement strategies which outline marketplace, cost levers, value levers
- Leading negotiations (utilising a robust strategy) with suppliers to ensure that the most cost effective supply solutions are obtained
- Post contract management ensuring the terms of a contract are adhered to with regards to cost, programme, quality
- Leading supplier performance monitoring and development initiatives
This role is part-time permanent role at 22.5 hours per week and is fully remote.

Essential experience of the Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist:
- A sound understanding of end-to-end sourcing and supplier management processes together with an ability to identify and capture incremental value in an operational working environment
- Experience of planning and implementing supply arrangements, managing supplier performance and scheduling of deliveries
- A good understanding of contract terms and conditions and an ability to draft subcontract terms as required and appropriate
Qualifications for the Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist:
- Qualified to degree level or equivalent
- Corporate membership of CIPS is highly desirable

The successful candidate must be able to achieve BPSS and SC security clearance for this role.
