Product Assistant Job in Christchurch (Food Sector)

What you’ll be doing as Product Assistant:
- Creating mood boards and doing market research on similar food and snack based products in the sector
- Sample management - being in control of all samples received, keeping detailed records of things sent in/out of the business.
- Administration tasks, including data collection, arranging pack copy forms, maintenance of data records, and barcode allocations.
- Helping to create slides to add to customer strategy meeting decks.
- Competitor analysis, visiting top 6 supermarkets monthly, collecting info on RRPs, specs and designs and supporting comp shop trips.
- Sample purchasing, ensuring that anything needed for meetings or to be sent to FE for benchmarking is bought ahead of time.
Dovetail Recruitment are looking for a Food Product Assistant to join our client of 10 years, who have developed our candidates internally previously. You’ll be exposed to products you see every day in shops, giving you a buzz knowing you were part of that whole development process. Your creative ideas will be encouraged and your thoughts on new snacking products considered.
Minimum Requirements for the Product Assistant:
- One year of administration experience or recent graduate with a placement year
- Passionate about food, nutrition or healthy living
- Creative mindset
- Eye for detail and highly organised
Salary & Details:
- £25,000 per annum with salary reviews
- Yearly bonus structure (based on company targets)
- 25 days holiday per annum, increasing to 27 days after 3 years’ service and 30 days after 5 years’ service
