Job description

Major Role Responsibilities: 

  • Oversight of the regular market comparison for key lines of business focusing on benefit levels, premium levels and customer journey, and also have an updated view on complaint ratio, CX and NPS.

  • Engage in discussions on prioritizing products that require revamp and/or new products in the market that are worth considering under our insurance appetite, working alongside Business teams, Business Solutions and Strategic Underwriting. This forms a key part of our Product Strategy.

  • Follow Product Development cycle – obtain key information around current sales process (across all existing sales channels), engage with research team and run focus groups, design product and obtain feedback from stakeholders (Business, Strategic Underwriting, Pricing, Claims), once obtain green light from approvers go ahead with writing up product specifications and product documentation, engage in system set up discussions and provide inputs, work closely with business and marketing teams on “Go to Market” strategy, participate in the product approval process and testing of the product flow before launch. Obtaining insights from feedback on the revamped/new product in order to improve on the next Product Development where relevant.  

  • Lead other team members in meeting adhoc requests involving product enquiries, amend product materials, providing updated product information, sharing any new product trends in the market etc.

  • Work with Business, Marketing and Customer Engagement teams on Campaigns, and stay up-to-date in the monitoring of campaign take-up rates, in order to share with the P&C teams.

  • Provide technical expertise and conducting training to frontline sales, intermediaries, underwriters and to enhance their product knowledge.


Your Profile

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • University degree with a major in Business Administration, Finance, or Management Information  

  • Minimum of 5 years or above relevant experience in the insurance / financial industry. Exposure in commercial package and group insurance product a plus. 

  • Strong understanding in insurance product design including coverages and their dynamics with the pricing. Experience in drafting product materials, and/or system implementation a plus.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Great organization skills to manage multiple tasks

  • Able to work under pressure and tight deadline

  • Experience in coaching and managing staff a plus

  • Good command of written and spoken English
