Product Development Professional

Meraki Talent are supporting a well known and well respected Glasgow Financial Services client who are looking to appoint an experienced Product Development professional.
  
As a Product Development professional within our financial services organisation, you will be responsible for leading the development and enhancement of innovative financial products and services. You will play a crucial role in driving the strategic direction of our product portfolio, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product delivery from ideation to launch. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying market opportunities, defining product requirements, and implementing strategies to meet business objectives while ensuring regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.
  
Key duties will include;

• Collaborate with senior management to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with company goals and market demands.
• Conduct comprehensive market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback analysis to identify market trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
• Define product requirements, features, and functionalities based on market insights, business objectives, and customer needs.
• Prioritise product initiatives and allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines and budget constraints.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, and compliance, to drive Product Development initiatives, ensure alignment on product requirements, and facilitate seamless execution.
• Oversee the end-to-end Product Development lifecycle, including concept ideation, design, development, testing, and launch. Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
• Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to financial products and services.
• Ensure products are inline with customer expectations, value for money and meet regulatory expectations
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the Product Development team. Build a collaborative and innovative work environment, promote professional growth, and empowering the wider team.  

Applicants must have come from a Financial Services background where they have a proven track record of successfully managing the end-to-end Product Development lifecycle, from concept to launch.  Additionally, applicants must have strong analytical skills and market research capabilities, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.  This role would suit those with excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.  Applicants must have a deep understanding of financial products and services, including banking, investment and insurance areas.
