As Product Owner you will report into Lead Product Owner for Savings within the wider Group Modernisation function. This is a brand new role, starting the journey for the team to grow and it will be pivotal to support the maturity of the products team and overall delivery of an exciting 5 year programme. The purpose of this role is to manage, develop and own the delivery of OSB Group's product technology backlog from shaping through to live implementation aligned to the overall product strategy.
The role has the flexibility to be based from Wolverhampton or Chatham and will require regular travel to London.

As Product Owneryou willdrive business growth by understanding customer and business needs and translating them into actionable product requirements identified in the product backlog and be responsible for and oversee the feature teams to drive optimisation of product feature delivery whilst minimising delivery effort.
You will also be responsible for:
- Define, prioritise and ensure clear communication of requirements to deliver product features using EPICS and user stories
- Define and deliver value to customers and the organisation to achieve business outcomes
- Work closely with the organisation and SMEs (engineers, analysts and architects) to develop and execute the company’s desired product technology outcomes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technology, design, customer service and 2nd Line of Defence to ensure successful delivery of products and features
- Ensure that developed features are robust, scalable, and secure to support the growth of the business
- Support the establishment of mechanisms to analyse the performance of the products, customer feedback, and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and drive product innovation.
We offer a base salary dependent on experience and location between £70,000 - £85,000 and a competitive benefits package including:

- Strong track record working as Product Owner within Financial Services
- Experience of product technology management and delivery at programme/portfolio level
- Knowledge and understanding of lending and savings systems and procedures
- Excellent communication skills and experience of engaging with all levels of stakeholders and managing relationships
- Experience of managing multiple initiatives across a complex and varied change portfolio with moving priorities and deadlines
- Previous experience of working in an agile environment would be advantageous
