SPD Swiss Precision Diagnostics GmbH (SPD) is a world leader in the research, design and supply of advanced consumer diagnostic products and we believe we were the first in the world to receive IVDR certificates, for Quality Management System and Class B self-test devices. SPD was formed in 2007 as a joint venture between Procter & Gamble (P&G) and Alere (now Abbott) and our brands, such as Clearblue, are recognised all over the world as providing accurate home pregnancy and fertility monitoring tests.
We are recruiting for a Product Support Engineerwith a focus on delivering commercial initiatives, process optimisation, cost savings and second sourcing projects.
This newly created role will support the Technical Specialist within the Product Support Group by providing technical support, validation and documentation for contract manufacturer changes and overseeing validation and change control documentation within our QMS. You will conduct root cause analysisfor product investigations and be responsible for maintaining component design documentation.
The successful candidate…
You will be degree (or equivalent) qualified in a relevant professional field, and have experience in developing medical consumer diagnostics within a regulated environment. You will be comfortable with managing multiple complex projects involving technical functions. You will be proficient with computer-aided design software (eg. Solidworks) and ideally have a Project Management qualification. We are looking for someone who willingly takes the lead, drive and adapts to change, and is confident at prioritising and overcoming challenges.
