Production Control and Logistics Manager
A leading Tier 1 automotive manufacturing business has undergone huge change and growth in recent times and have identifies the need to hire a Production Control and Logistics Manager to ensure that materials and stock are received into the site in an efficient manner and stores on site where appropriate for efficient use across production.
The business offers a salary of circa £50k plus benefits.
The Production Control and Logistics Manager will be responsible for:
- The maintenance of 100% OTIF for its customers
- Controlling the flow of materials across the suite ensuring that the production teams receive parts and components to satisfy production requirements.
- Site Inventory and racking management and ensuring all working environments such as the warehouse, yard and WIP areas operate to a high level.
- Identify areas for improvement across the operation and then work closely with internal teams implementing new processes etc to improve them.
- Train and develop team members across the logistics function so that they consistently perform to a high standard.
To become their Production Control and Logistics Manager you will:
- Have worked as a MP&L Manager, PC&L Manager before, ideally within an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Have used MRP systems and have strong Excel skills.
- Have demonstrable experience in managing warehouse and material flow.
- Ability to work with different business functions to ensure that you can deliver the improvements needed.
