This is an exciting role where you will oversee all production staff to deliver existing products whilst seamlessly introducing new developments. As Production Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the flow of work through production using the MRP system to maintain stock at agreed levels.
- Taking responsibility for implementing and maintaining World Class, Lean, Quality processes, and other advanced manufacturing methodologies and systems.
- Increasing productivity through the support and leadership of people, processes, and technology.
- Preparing works orders, work instructions, procedures, reports, and plans and sharing with team and senior management.
- Monthly reporting of targets, achievements and KPIs to director level.
- Ensuring the department is capable and has a capacity for growth; this involves equipment, people, training, processes, budgets, material flow and information systems.
- Developing and maintaining processes, procedures, and quality control systems to ensure product quality and delivery.
- Driving continuous improvement through waste reduction, efficiency, and operational improvement.
- Taking responsibility for maintaining and improving all electronic production processes and related metrics.
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in the electronics manufacturing field required.
- Extensive experience at leading technical personnel, staffing, reviews, and goal setting.
- The ability to design processes, evaluate results and drive solutions to improve the processes, using logic and reasoning to offer solutions to problems.
- Experience of electromechanical production processes.
- Experience with world class manufacturing processes and methods, such as Lean, Kaizen, Kanban, 5S.
