💥Production Manager - Dynamic FMCG Start-Up 💥
📍 Leeds - Site based Monday to Friday
💸 Up to £55,000 Per annum + Bonus, Healthcare, Pension and Holiday
Opportunity:
As a member of the senior management team reporting to the Managing Director and leading a dedicated team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and moulding the business from the roots upwards. You will be a key element in establishing top-notch manufacturing credentials with our clients key customers. Operating with autonomy, you will be responsible for the day-to-day production on-site, ensuring the safe and efficient meeting of daily volume targets in strict adherence to allergy-free manufacturing requirements to meet customer demand.
Your role demands a strong background in food manufacturing, a proven track record in production planning, delivery, and team management, as well as a comprehensive understanding of working to BRC food manufacturing standards
Responsibilities:
Lead production team, setting the bar for a high standard of values and behaviours in the team
Develop and deliver daily production plans to meet customer demand while ensuring adherence to allergen-free manufacturing standards.
Work with technical and finance to optimize inventory levels and production schedules on a 6 week cycle.
Develop and implement relevant training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the production team.
Oversee and enforce strict allergen control measures throughout the production process.
Work closely with quality assurance and regulatory compliance teams to ensure all products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and efficiency gains in production operations.
Communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination between different functional areas
A great candidate will have:
Proven first hand experience in a production management role within a food manufacturing environment, showcasing the ability to oversee the entire cycle, from raw ingredient procurement, through production, to supply chain management for major UK retailers. Demonstrates a robust comprehension of allergen control measures, HACCP principles, BRC standards, and UK food safety regulations.
Possesses excellent leadership and team management skills, demonstrating the capability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
Exhibits effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
