Position: Senior Manager Electrical Production
 
Location: Leeds with travel to other sites
 
Role Overview:
 
You will play a pivotal role providing strong leadership within the company. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of switchgear and electrical engineering, combined with proven commercial and operational experience. You will be responsible for managing people effectively, addressing internal dynamics, and ensuring the team is unified and aligned with the company’s goals.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight to the switchgear manufacturing operations.
• Focus on improving team effectiveness.
• Engage hands-on with both technical and operational tasks as needed.
• Hold technical discussions with engineers and customers, offering creative and effective solutions.
• Lead customer-facing interactions, including site visits and technical presentations, to maintain and enhance customer relationships.
• Ensure the company meets its commercial and operational targets while maintaining high standards of service and support.

Role Requirements:

• Deep technical knowledge of switchgear and electrical engineering.
• Strong industry background with proven commercial and operational experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work hands-on and manage people effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and diplomacy skills to navigate internal dynamics.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven track record of providing creative solutions in a technical context.
• Capable of stepping in and performing technical and operational tasks as required.
• Sound working knowledge of AutoCAD LT
