Time Appointments are currently recruiting for a dynamic and fast paced business who are one of the fastest growing companies within their sector, due to their recent growth they are looking to appoint an experienced Production Manager who will take overall responsibility for their UK assembly facility.
The successful candidate will be ambitious, career motivated and ideally will have worked within large volume manufacturing, experience of implementing processes and procedures that have resulted in productivity improvements is also essential.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Ensuring that the production team produce orders on time and to the quality standards set by the business and agreed with the customer and share requirements internally via issuing the Weekly Production Schedule.
· Delivery of the Monthly Margin Targets and delivering to customer due dates.
· Management and development of all personnel within your teams.
· Ensuring that the warehouse and operational areas of the site are kept clean, tidy, and well organised always.
· Managing the team to deliver KPI performance in terms of production efficiency and stock management, including the reduction in stock holding where possible.
· Enforcing compliance of all operational procedures and policies across the whole production and warehousing team.
· Responsible for the H&S of the site as well as the production and warehousing operations to ensure teams safety always.
· Responsible for helping the business to identify opportunities for improvement
· Involved with and support any audits within the department and comply with all internal/external audit resources and certification bodies.
Key Skills/Experience:
· At least 2 years management experience essential.
· H&S qualification preferred but not essential.
· Strong management and leadership skills
· Drive and passion to grow and succeed in the business
· Ability to work on your own initiative and make well informed, considered decisions.
· Able to act proactively and with limited direct supervision, while at the same time recognising when matters need to be referred to Directors.
· Able to manage and supervise a team of people to achieve targets set within the business.
· The interpersonal skills necessary to develop and sustain effective relationships internally and externally with all customers, sub-contractors, and engineers.
· Leads by example and possesses a high degree of integrity.
· Possesses a high level of resilience and drive, able to be flexible and change direction as required and work well under pressure.
· Ability to demonstrate analytical and problems solving skills.
· Able to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and achieve set targets.
· Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills.
· Demonstrates first class attention to detail and team working skills.
