The Production Manager will provide overall responsibility in the efficient day to day running of the site through the organisation and management of the employees and through direct supervision of production, stock and quality control.

Description
The Production Manager will:
- Contribute to the department/ add value by developing requisite skills in this area in line with the business's competency framework.
- To monitor and control any negative environmental impact arising from the processes within area of responsibility; ensuring that all direct reports and colleagues are briefed and clear in regards to their responsibilities as outlined in Group Risk Management System Manual.
- To manage, recruit, recommend appointment, transfers and promotion of all staff under direct control.
- Ensuring production is planned to achieve efficient site operation subject to the requirements.
- Ensuring that both raw materials and finished product stock levels are controlled to satisfy the requirements of Production and Company policy.
- To take specific responsibility for physical quality of finished products, to ensure the correct sampling of finished products and raw materials and the maintenance of physical standards as specified in the Quality Control Plan.
- Plant Training and ensuring sufficient staff requirements to maintain production at the required levels.
- Be responsible for all employees under direct control for health & safety, welfare, induction training and regular development through progress reviews.
- Ensure the maintenance of all equipment, housekeeping and machinery.
- To manage and maintain noise levels, site security, vehicle movements, pollution, general appearance of site so that a professional public image of the company is portrayed at all times.
- Ensure harmony, discipline and grievances are all dealt with and maintained.
- The maintenance of production records as required by the Company.
- Any other reasonable duties as required.
Profile
The successful Production Manager will have:
- Production Management experience
- Food experience is preferable
- Experience coaching and developing teams to improve performance across H&S, production and quality
- Experience with continuous improvement/driving efficiencies through people and process
- Excellent communication skills
- Professionalism, confidence & integrity
