Production Operative
Job Description
WeBottle are seeking a candidate who is enthusiastic and motivated with good communication skills; someone who is looking for a long-term, full-time permanent position and has the potential to grow and progress within our business. Currently we have class II and Class I Machine Operator positions available.
Within this role you will be supporting the production team with day-to-day manufacturing duties to ensure that all production schedules are met and to the highest quality standard. Attention to detail and completion of documentation along with inputting of bottles produced and issuing of materials within our operating system.
The candidate needs to be very reliable, as operationally we will be dependent on this position. We will also require them to take ownership of their responsibilities and support the smooth running of the business
Duties include:
- Operate bottle filling and labelling machines to our approved quality standards.
-Complete in line inspection process and packing into boxes to minimise work in progress on factory floor.
-Support the mixing of flavours as per company procedures.
-Support cleaning and maintenance of machines. (Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly)
-Identify improvements to increase both efficiency and product quality.
-Preparation of kitting raw materials to maximise machine run time
-Supporting picking and any labelling of products.
- Working in a tidy & methodical manner.
- Supporting stock checking as and when required.
This is a full-time position and full training will be provided.
Start and finish times
08:00 – 16:00 Monday – Friday
Standard Hours: 37.5 hours / week
Holiday Entitlement: 28 days (inc. Statutory Holidays)
Characteristics:
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, able to work within a small team and have the following attributes:
- Previous experience of operating machinery.
- Methodical and accurate with an eye for detail
- Maintain high quality standards
- Adhere to strict health and safety rules
- Be physically fit, able to conduct manual handling activities & use pallet trucks safely and efficiently.
- Have previous manual handling experience
- Be A Team Player and able to work alongside the Production Supervisors and Staff, using initiative and providing support.
Consideration will also be given to applicants who may not have experience of working in the manufacturing industry but have good practical ability and an eagerness to learn.
Qualifications:
-Minimum 4 GCSE or equivalent including Maths & English
-Preference will be given to those with Manual Handling experience and certificate, and COSHH NI awareness and appropriate certificate. This training if not already completed will need to be certified through our own in house training programs prior to starting or on day of starting
