How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
To carry out the safe and efficient filling/refurbishing of gas cylinders by the effective operation of filling plant and other Company property such as fork lift trucks and pallet trucks.
- Conform to the Company Safety, Health and Environment Policy at all times.
- Fill and refurbish cylinders in accordance with the Company’s Codes of Practice and its BS EN ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System.
- Ensure that cylinders are correctly sorted by size and colour code.
- Verify and adjust product to meet specifications.
- Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled cylinders to standards.
- Monitor the filling plant watching for problems.
- Stock and sort filled cylinders according to company procedures.
- Inspect and remove defective products.
- Start machine by engaging controls.
- Remove finished filled cylinders from plant and separate rejected items.
- Count and record finished and rejected cylinders. Serve customers with cylinders when required.
Are you a MATCH?
- Operate filling plant.
- Classify and record filled product according to company procedures.
- Operate fork lift trucks and pallet trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Comply with government and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Fork lift truck licence and advantage.
- Experience in similar process work (preferably in the chemical, mechanical or related industries) an advantage.
- Adopt a flexible approach to work to ensure the operational needs of the Company are met. Ensure that the premises and work surroundings are kept clean and tidy at all times and advise the supervisor of any repair work that becomes necessary.
