We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a warehouse/Production operative. To collaborate as an integral member of a production team operating on a manufacturing line dedicated to crafting polymer concrete products of exceptional quality, ensuring they meet stringent standards and exceed customer expectations for satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively within a team on a production line to craft polymer concrete products meeting stringent quality standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Adhere unwaveringly to Health and Safety protocols to guarantee a secure working environment for all.
- Reports directly to the Production Shift Manager.
- Operate various production line stations efficiently, performing tasks such as removing products from molds, utilizing vacuum lift equipment, finishing products to exacting standards, and affixing barcoded labels.
- Expertly stack finished products onto pallets, secure each pallet with banding, and maintain cleanliness of molds through meticulous cleaning and waxing techniques.
- Facilitate mold closure and product movement to the warehouse utilizing pallet trucks or Fork Lift Trucks (if licensed).
- Undertake essential maintenance duties including steam cleaning molds and conducting mold changes.
- Adhere to stringent quality control measures, calibrate equipment, and ensure seamless operation of extruders.
- Participate in 'first off' castings, promptly report any quality issues, and engage in proactive problem-solving initiatives.
- Engage in production maintenance activities as required.
- Utilize Fork Lift Truck (if licensed) for designated tasks.
- Internal communication with Team Leaders, fellow Production Operatives, Quality teams, and other relevant internal departments.
- No external communication requirements.
Requirements
- Proficient numeracy and literacy skills.
- Ability to accurately measure using a rule and digital vernier.

Knowledge
- Proficiency in basic technical problem-solving of a mechanical nature.
- Prior experience in a production environment with familiarity in operating moving machinery and utilizing hand tools.
- Trained in manual handling techniques.
