Newstaff Employment Services are working in Partnership with a global organisation of manufacturing plastic caps and closures for a packaging industry
Production Operative
Duties:
Ensure blenders/silos are kept filled with required materials
Correct issuing of raw and WIP (work in progress) materials, including wadding materials, necessary for production-to-production lines
Checking and preparing bulk bins and pallets to support the packing of finished goods on the lines
Make up cartons/boxed for the packing of finished goods
Ensure finished goods are correctly packed and labelled
Scanning and booking the finished packs into stock
Using company specific scanning software to ensure accurate traceability of all stock
Cleaning down machines and material handling equipment prior to change over
Colour changes
Dealing with minor machine and assembly equipment faults
General cleanliness and tidiness of factory
Must:
Be physically fit
Able to read/write English and be numerically sound
Turn up to work
Want to work
Able to work 12-hour shift
Relevant experience of working in a factory
FLT counterbalance licence

Shifts:
Working 5 on 2 off
WK1 work Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
WK2 work Wednesday and Thursday
8am to 8pm 12-hour shift
£14.00 per hour
