Production Operative - Machine-Made Products (Night Shift)

Join Our Machine-Made Products Team !

We are looking for Production Operatives to join our friendly and expanding Machine-Made Products Night Shift! These exciting Sunday to Thursday positions command a starting salary of £12.10 per hour, with an enhanced rate of £15.13 per hour, which will be paid for the majority of hours, combining to deliver a representative £553 weekly gross! Furthermore, our new pay banding system allows opportunities to increase this even further as you progress through your training and pay bandings will be reviewed again in April 2024! A company induction day (09:00 to 15:30) will be required attendance the week before joining.

Sunday Night to Thursday Night (22:00 to 06:30 approx.)
Enhanced rate paid for hours worked between 8pm and 6am and for hours over 37.5 per week. Any hours worked on a Sunday paid at £15.85 per hour.

All roles are fully task-rotated to reduce fatigue and ensure your job remains engaging throughout the course of the shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Setup: You will be responsible for the initial setup of our production machines at the beginning of each shift, ensuring they are set up correctly for the shift
• Line Operation: You'll be in charge of operating the production line, making sure it runs at the optimal speed to produce thousands of products per hour!
• Supplying the Production Lines: You'll also be responsible for keeping our production lines well-supplied with the delicious fillings created by our Mix Room teams.
• Depositor Operation: Operating depositors is another important aspect of your role, as you'll ensure that products are accurately filled.
• Hand Finished Products: In the case of hand finished products, such as turnovers, you will be responsible for precise manual application of flavourful fillings and the folding of each pastry parcel.
• Waste Management: We take waste and yield management seriously, and you will be responsible for collecting and handling waste properly to maintain a clean and efficient work environment for the production of high quality pastry delights.
• Quality Control: Performing weight checks on completed products is vital to our quality control efforts, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards.
• Decorative Touch: Adding the finishing touches to bespoke products by applying decorative elements will also be a part of your role from time to time.
• Topping Application: For products that require toppings, you'll operate the topper equipment to guarantee the precise application of toppings, such as herbs and rusk.
• Glazer Operation: Operating glazers is a part of your role, which involves ensuring it's functioning correctly, offering consistent glaze coverage and at the correct speed.
• Team Support: You'll be part of a close-knit team with a dedicated team leader always available to provide help and guidance.
• Training Program: We provide full and comprehensive training. You'll undergo a training program that prioritizes quality and efficiency, turning you into a food manufacturing pro in no time!
