Lighting is a unique discipline in the construction sector and our role is to work with retailers and their respective design partners to create amazing lighting solutions within their store environments. We are seeking a skilled Production/Manufacturing Operative to join the Shoplight team. The primary responsibility of this role is to build and assemble lights using 3D-printed components in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have experience in assembly, be proficient in using various tools, and be capable of operating basic settings on 3D printers.
Duties include;
1. Assemble lights using 3D printed components according to production schedules and quality standards.
2. Follow assembly instructions to ensure accurate and efficient assembly of components.
3. Utilise hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete assembly tasks.
4. Operate basic settings on 3D printers, including changing product types, removing finished components, cleaning printers, and changing filaments as needed.
5. Maintain a clean and organised workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
6. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to minimise workplace accidents and injuries.
7. Assist with inventory management by accurately recording materials used and reporting any shortages or discrepancies.
8. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow and address any issues or concerns.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience in assembly and manufacturing operations.
2. Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
3. Familiarity with 3D printing technology and basic printer operation would be advantageous.
4. Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions.
5. Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
7. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
Additional Information:
- This is a full-time position with regular working hours. Some overtime may be required based on production needs.
- Training will be provided for specific tasks and equipment as needed.
- The successful candidate will be able to grow and advance within Shoplight based on performance and skill development.
