A leading manufacturer is looking for a Production Planner to join their growing team. This is an excellent opporutnity for someone with manufacturing experience to work closely with the Planning team. The role offers excellent scope for further development and growth within a great industry. Role Description
- Day to day scheduling of all production, ensuring that orders are planned to meet customer delivery requirements
- Continually review capacity, material and resource availability ensuring that the production plan is achievable
- Ensure that the production plans are created timely and all paperwork is available
- Manage and control new part number creation
- Work closely with the department managers, ensuring that when issues arise the plan is updated and sales are informed of the delivery impact to pass on to the customer
- Inventory - daily review of inventory that can be used on orders - including offcuts, NSO's, provision, and stock not allocated to orders
Skills and Qualifications
- Production and capacity planning principles
- ERP/MRP systems such as SAGE, SAP
- Microsoft Office Suite of Programmes
- Previous experience in a role from a manufacturing or production background
