Job Title: Production Planner

Introduction to Role:

Join us as a Production Planner, a key role in our Operations team, where you will be responsible for creating and maintaining an optimised executable production schedule. You will manage master data to ensure accurate capacity planning and lead times for assigned assets. This role is crucial in monitoring actual production status, identifying potential short-term supply constraints and delays, and collaborating with global planning and site functions to ensure excellent customer service and efficient production.

Accountabilities:

As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating with Network Supply Planner on rolling weekly planned orders into the firm horizon. You will develop detailed production schedules, resolve short-term capacity and manpower issues, and ensure scheduling of urgent late call requirements. You will also confirm material availability of all required materials & readiness within the operational horizon, plan for pack/artwork changes within the horizon, and manage obsolescence and destruction process. Your role will also involve analysing executional supply alerts on a weekly basis, monitoring high priority orders, and generating production reports for critical decision-making purposes.

Essential Skills/Experience:

- In-depth working knowledge of SAP and more specifically APO

- Work experience planning in a fast-moving manufacturing environment

- Management of a complex and changing workload

- Understanding of Pharmaceutical GMP principles an advantage

- Strong influencing skills across all levels of the organisation

- A degree or equivalent in Business, Supply Chain Management, Sciences or Engineering is preferred, equivalent experience will be considered

- Greater knowledge of other areas of the Supply Chain would be beneficial

- Experience with Lean & Manufacturing Excellence tools
