Our client is a leading manufacturer that is dedicated to producing products that's quality is recognised as second to none. With a strong order book and due to growth into various export markets they are looking for a Production Planning Manager to join their Management team.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Responsible for planning and scheduling of raw materials required for sales orders coming into the business, coordinate and expedite the flow of materials needed.
* Develop capacity planning, demand planning and forecasting to support materials needed, including new product introduction
* Develop product & material stock taking policies, implement new methods
* Creating reports on weekly basis for Senior Management, based on lead times, implementing initiatives
* Manage Lead times throughout the product life cycle
* Laise closely with sales, purchasing, manufacturing and production on orders in the business
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Strong understanding of supply chain including Production Planning, raw materials, logistics using MRP systems
* Strong ability to build and develop relationships with customers, suppliers and internal departments
* Worked within fast paced environments
* Aptitude for problem solving & analysing data
* Root cause analysis experience, six sigma understanding, JIT understanding advantageous

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing planning, capacity planning, forecasting and demand planning
  * Must be a focused individual on delivery of project solutions to time/specification & cost
  * Able to work to project deadlines & prioritise own workload
  * Strong communication skills
  Benefits Package:
  * Salary:- 35,000 - 41,000
  * Hours:- Monday - Friday, 39hr a week, early finish Friday
