We are looking for an experienced Production Shift Manager. Our client is no ordinary brand. As a Production Shift Manager you will lead and manage all aspects of your shift in relation to performance, standards, health & safety, food safety & quality, continuous improvement and people management.
We're seeking an experience food manufacturing Production Shift leader who can inspire and develop a team, driving excellent standards in all areas.
The key Responsibilities of the Production Shift Manager
Health, Safety, and Environment:
- Ensure compliance with legal health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Foster a safety-oriented culture and address health and safety concerns.
- Maintain equipment safety and team competence through training.
Food Safety and Quality:
- Guarantee adherence to food safety standards and protocols.
- Uphold Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and deliver necessary team training.
Performance:
- Lead efforts to enhance operational efficiency in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Utilize Short Interval Control to measure hourly performance.
- Take corrective and preventive actions as required.
Plant Standards:
- Uphold Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and advocate for cleanliness.
- Implement and sustain 5S systems to optimize efficiency.
Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to the development of strategies to improve team and plant performance.
People and Team Development:
- Develop training plans and ensure the adequacy of skills within the team.
- Address performance issues proactively and manage staffing for optimal productivity.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience in team management within a FOOD manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with manufacturing machinery.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and planning abilities.
- Competent in people management, coaching, and training.
