Production Supervisor

Our client is a leading producer of high-quality food products, committed to delivering excellence in taste and safety. On their behalf, we are currently seeking a Production Supervisor to join their team and play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe production of our products.

As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following:

• Ensuring that products are packed correctly for the designated customer, meeting packaging, labelling, and weight requirements.
• Orchestrating staff and room set-up, including job allocation.
• Achieving daily production targets as set by the management team.
• Ensuring strict adherence to hygiene and health & safety practices at all times.
• Ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintaining stock control to ensure product availability.
• Adhering to the company's hygiene and safety rules.
• Informing the Factory/Production Manager of any equipment defects.
• Ensuring all documentation and returns procedures are followed.
• Ensuring total compliance with statutory requirements, including Health and Safety, COSSH, and hygiene regulations.
• Performing diligent cleaning procedures to maintain excellent hygiene standards.
• Verifying the accuracy of weighing scales before packing begins.
• Ensuring all packs are metal detected correctly and correctly labeled.
• Performing any other reasonable duties allocated by the Factory/Production Manager or other senior company employees.
• Demonstrating effective people management skills.
• Take responsibility for the health and safety of yourself and others while at work and comply with the Company's policies and legislation.
• Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job and participate in appropriate learning and development activities.

• Good attention to detail.
• A calm and focused individual.
• Self-motivated and able to motivate others.
• Good communication skills, both written and oral.
• Proficiency in IT and systems.
• Disciplined with procedures and a structured approach.
• Ideally trained to Level 3 Food Hygiene plus Health and Safety at Work.
• Flexibility to work overtime as required to meet the demands of the business.
