We are recruiting for a fantastic manufacturing business in the North of Leicester who have seen success and growth throughout the last few years. We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis with a starting salary of up to £32,000 plus a generous company benefits package. Supervising an established team of 15 people, you will work a 37 hour week, Monday-Friday.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
• Promote Health & Safety, audit safety checks.

• To be responsible for the smooth running of the production unit.
• To ensure the plan is achieved each day.
• Promote a clean as you go policy, control housekeeping.
• Ensure people’s skills are fully utilised.
• Ensure daily output levels are achieved.
KEY TASKS
• Ensure all orders are manufactured to a high-quality standard and are OTIF, record all shortages and report.
• Ensure all works orders / details are correct any found incorrect request alteration with Design.
• Carry out checks and sign works orders on all machines daily.
• Complete all paperwork for external and internal rejections and pass to relevant departments.
• Identify any training needs on shift to prevent lost time through skill levels.
• Ensure every order is run at the highest speed obtainable whilst maintaining quality.
• Ensure machines are cleaned and problems passed to Manager.
• Understand and report poor performances and directly discuss with operators.
• Where it is needed carry out first line discipline, and report finding to the Production Manager/Managing Director.
• Complete Pro-Stop forms for all incidents no matter how minor
• Carry out ASI’s as requested on a monthly basis.
• Carrying out Stock Takes as requested by the Company Accountant.
• Work towards a multi skilled finishing line.
• Ensure all direct finished goods are labelled and scanned on the day they arrive.
• Monitor and report shortages on the day they happen.
• Monitor that works orders are completed correctly with all the information for the next process, counts etc and discuss with operators when they are incorrect.
• Ensure all goods in paperwork is correct. This includes board, all Origination, Inks and booked onto ABACA where required.
• Unload board lorries of raw material and finished goods
• Monitor and report shortages on the day they happen.
• Monitor that works orders are completed correctly with all the information for the next process, counts etc and discuss with operators when they are incorrect.
• Ensure all goods in paperwork is correct. This includes board, all Origination, Inks and booked onto ABACA where required.
• Unload board lorries of raw material and finished goods
In order to be considered for this role, you will have:
IT Literate ideally including ABACA.
Proactivity and positivity.
Proven experience of managing a team within a manufacturing environment.
Ideally packaging / corrugated cardboard sector experience.
