Production Supervisor

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team in a fast-paced ice cream manufacturing plant. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor will be primarily responsible for overseeing the ice cream production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality ice cream products.

Responsibilities:

Production Oversight:

Supervise and coordinate all activities related to ice cream production, including mixing, freezing, flavoring, and packaging.

Monitor production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of ice cream products while maintaining quality standards.

Implement and enforce production procedures and protocols specific to ice cream manufacturing to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.

Quality Assurance:

Conduct regular inspections of the ice cream production line to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Address any quality issues promptly, investigating root causes and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Collaborate with the quality control team to develop and maintain quality assurance procedures specific to ice cream production.

Team Leadership:

Lead and motivate a team of production workers, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure optimal performance.

Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among ice cream production staff.

Resolve personnel issues and conflicts in a timely and professional manner.

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment within the ice cream production plant.

Conduct regular safety inspections and trainings, identifying and addressing potential hazards specific to ice cream production.

Investigate accidents or near-misses, implementing preventive measures to reduce future incidents.

Inventory Management:

Oversee inventory levels of ice cream ingredients, flavorings, and packaging supplies, coordinating with procurement to ensure adequate stock levels.

Monitor inventory usage and waste specific to ice cream production, implementing strategies to minimize losses and optimize inventory turnover.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the ice cream production plant, implementing changes to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Utilize data and performance metrics to track ice cream production KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in food manufacturing, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role within ice cream production.

Strong understanding of ice cream production processes, sanitation practices, and quality control standards.

Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.

Knowledge of safety regulations and experience implementing safety programs in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Requirements:

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Willingness to adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards specific to ice cream production.

Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.

Must be fluent in Hindi and English languages.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.50 per hour
