The Recruitment Group is working with one of the UK’s largest independent national sheet plant networks, who have a passion for service, supplying a full range of customers with the design and manufacture of bespoke corrugated packaging solutions and in-house printing, along with a range of ancillary packaging products.
Purpose of the Production Supervisor role:
Our client is looking for a Production Supervisor to oversee the Production in the factory, ensure daily plans are met and Health & Safety is followed.

Main duties and responsibilities of the Production Supervisor:
- Promote Health & Safety, audit safety checks.
- Promote positive thinking, manage with skill and fairness, listen to people treating people with respect.
- To be responsible for the smooth running of the production unit.
- Ensure the plan is achieved each day.
- Ensure all orders are manufactured to a high-quality standard and are OTIF, record all shortages and report.
- Organise work to obtain the highest performance off all machines.
- Carry out checks and sign works orders on all machines daily.
- Complete all paperwork for external and internal rejections and pass to relevant departments.
- Identify any training needs on shift to prevent lost time through skill levels.
- Ensure every order is run at the highest speed obtainable while maintaining quality.
- Ensure machines are cleaned and problems passed to Manager.
Experience/knowledge requirements for the Production Supervisor:
- FLT Licence.
- Previous experience in a hands-on Production Supervisor role in a similar manufacturing environment.
- Health & Safety knowledge.
- Experience using ERP systems.
- Focused, determined, and positive attitude.
- Proactive and honest – ensure anything that needs to be reported is done to get it resolved as quickly as possible.
- Communication skills.
