Role:Production Supervisor

Location: Cardiff

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000

Shift: Monday – Thursday, 4pm – 2am

Overview:

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Supervisor to join an established engineering business in Cardiff.

This market leading company operates in a wide range of industries including aerospace, defence and automotive.

Main responsibilities:

• Tactically implementing agreed strategies and business policies
• Shift responsibility for budget delivery.
• Demonstrated effective leadership behaviours.
• Responsible for team development, absence procedures, disciplinary procedures, reward & recognition etc.
• Optimising equipment utilisation
• Assuring data integrity through effective management of the business ERP system
• Implementing safe working practices through strict HS and E compliance.
• Promote a Continuous Improvement environment.

Qualifications, experience and skills:

• Proven management skills and sound knowledge of HS & E requirements.
• To be customer focussed and driven to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
• An experienced and effective leader with an engineering environment background.
• Strong teamworking ethic with ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation.
• Thorough understanding of external regulatory body accreditations (eg) NADCAP, AS9100 Rev D, ISO 14001, ISO 18001 etc. (desirable)
