Description:My client is looking for an experienced Production Operative to join its Basingstoke team. This emerging role isto support the company's sales growth and will involve a wide range of production responsibilities.Position Overview:The ideal candidate should be passionate and capable of working independently and with a high level of attentiongiven to both detail and accuracy.As part of the Operations team and reporting to the Production Manager, the role will involve day to day dutiesincluding goods-in, stores, dispatch and product assembly, but may also include more general support to alloperational functions, such as Facilities/Maintenance, Health & Safety and Quality Assurance.
Role, Responsibilities & Requirements:• Product Assembly - Assembly and test of the company's electro-mechanical products
• Goods-in - Receipting in goods Adding to stock Inspection• Stores - Maintain the various store's locations and stock• Dispatch - Packing Book courier Preparation of shipping documentation Track / update business
Requirements of the Role:• Work to promote ethical practices.• Strict adherence to all applicable company policies, procedures, and processes.• Able to make decisions in the best interest of the business.• Continuous improvement initiatives (cost, efficiency & productivity).• Working to the highest quality standards.

Requirements of the Person:• Experienced working in an engineering/manufacturing environment ideally with five years' min. experience.• Experience with low voltage panel wiring an advantage.• Understanding of ISO 9001 or similar internationally recognized Quality Management System working practices.• Fluent in English with good verbal and written skills.• Computer literate, with competency in typical MS Office programs.• Good working knowledge of MRP/MRP II/ERP Systems.• Health & Safety training/qualification/knowledge an advantage.
Work Arrangements:• Work pattern: Monday - Friday• Hours: 9am-5pm (30 minutes lunch break).
