The Employability Programme Manager plays a cross-college role, working closely with the Head of the Department. The primary focus is to enhance the employability curriculum, identify the demands of the local and regional employment markets, and establish significant partnerships with employers. The post holder is required to develop partnerships with employers to enhance learners' opportunities, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), enabling them to progress into work experience, volunteering, or employment within their chosen sectors.Richmond and Hillcroft Adult and Community College is an adult learning provider with a vibrant and wide-ranging offer of courses for adults of all ages and abilities, enabling them to participate in learning for work, life and improve their wellbeing. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring the curriculum meets the needs of adult learners of all abilities and backgrounds, enabling them to achieve their work and wellbeing goals. You will also oversee the implementation of appropriate support systems to help learners reach their full potential and ensure the highest standards of teaching, learning and assessment.Curriculum Development Lead on the creation of the employability curriculum offer, ensuring innovative and flexible course content and delivery models which meet the needs of all RHACC learner groups, including those who face barriers to employment caused by disability. Develop partnership activities with employers that help to prepare learners for employment and ensure that provision is planned in line with relevant sector needs.This will involve working across college to arrange activities such as class visits, employer forums, guest speakers etc. About youReporting to the Head of Skills for Life and Employability, you will develop, manage and deliver Employability courses and job clubs, enabling learners who are unemployed, in unstable employment, or wishing to change careers to identify and develop skills to reach their goals and aspirations. You will provide line management to tutors and advisors within the subject area to ensure that all teaching is good or better, poor practice is eliminated, and that this contributes to outstanding outcomes for learners.You will manage an impartial, accessible, and outstanding IAG service for current and prospective learners, including leading on implementation of Matrix and other relevant quality standards. You will line manage the IAG officers and employability tutors.You will be expected to teach an agreed number of hours on a range of employability courses.
